Custom Ping Pong Table

SIA asked us to spice up The Yard exhibit a bit and nothing says spicy quite like a paddle smacking a ping pong ball. The ping pong table was fueled by a desire to cook up a modern technical piece of furniture utilizing digital technology and made with analog materials and skills. The angular form instills the feeling of motion and tension while having a small footprint, and plenty of room for players legs. The open ends add to the floating sensation of the top surface and visually completes the shape. The steel perimeter frame keeps everything rock solid and adds some color pop. The sandblasted glass net is held in place by the cnc cut polished aluminum brackets inspired by 40’s auto and marine brightwork.
