ACADIA ON MAIN is an outdoor and lifestyle women’s boutique with a fresh, eco-conscious perspective, that specializes in the outdoor lifestyles of Yoga, Running, Hiking, Camping, Travel, Beach and Swim.
Owner Dan Sims sought out DoE based on the company's approach to logo development and our expertise within the action sports industry.
The goal was to develop a fresh, easy to read logo that could be used both as a wordmark and an icon, and could easily be translated for organic cotton tees, signage and retail packaging.
Acadia National Park is home to Cadillac Mountain, the tallest mountain along the eastern coast of the United States, and was the inspiration for the name of the boutique. During certain times of the year, it is the first place in the U.S. to see the sunrise. The Maine coastal climate has been ranked second only to the Pacific Northwest in annual precipitation. This was a key aspect drawn upon during the development phase, leading to a stylized raindrop for the final logo.
